BUSINESS DISCUSSION NIGHTS

Business Discussion Nights brings together students to discuss and have a dialogue on the recent developing or developed business story (e.g., from the Economist, WSJ, Washington Post, etc.). This gives students an opportunity to learn how to leverage IT, high technology, business, fashion & retail, financials, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, media & entertainment, design, and more in the context of a consulting case study or project. We explore these various industries that consulting firms are involved in, as well as major issues/trends that have been faced within these areas. We will facilitate these issues/trends and generate ideas/insights and improvements.

Pro bono consulting

CMGCC provides an opportunity for our members to engage with real-world clients on pro bono projects. The projects are designed based upon the needs of the client, and qualified candidates are selected to match the desired expertise needed to work on areas such as profitability, competitive landscape, tech integration, and more. Members will have the opportunity to engage with clients to provide recommendations through various strategies. Our goal is to provide free services to help our clients reach their desired need(s) while allowing our members to gain experience.

CASE Preparation sessions & competitions

Getting an interview for a consulting firm is an accomplishment in itself, but that is only the first step of the process. Every consulting firm relies on the “Case Interview” for their recruiting process so you need to be prepared to solve any case that they present you. With the case preparation tools and activities, we will help you understand how a case interview is structured, how to solve cases and how to present your skills.

Case competitions are a great opportunity for students to get a chance to work in teams on a business case. These events help bolster skills by applying techniques in real-time to work towards solving a complex problem. Please check our calendar for upcoming case competition events.
